Wild Atlantic Way Champions Programme
”The Wild Atlantic Way Champions Programme is a specifically tailored programme for front line staff. Enabling them to enhance their knowledge of what the Wild Atlantic Way offers and provide excellence service to visitors. The Champions Programme was designed to help tourism businesses improve the visitor experience they currently provide. The initiative seeks to harness the commitment and passion of local tourism operators. It also assists them to deliver the best possible visitor experience. Through a mixture of a warm welcome, a smile, real knowledge of their local area and a genuine interest in what visitors want. We believe our Champions can really help us maximize the potential of the route locally.”
Listowel Workshop
We are delighted to have received our Wild Atlantic Way certification along with so many other great businesses in Kerry! We attended Failte Irelands workshop in Listowel in order to do so. There were 11 people from different businesses around Kerry in attendance on the day at the work shop. It was held in the Listowel Arms hotel over a half day. Two representatives from Failte Ireland were in attendance giving the presentation along with answering questions. There were also employees from the Tralee Bay Wetlands, The Ashe Hotel, Tarbert Bridewell, Pods Ireland, Kerry County Council and the Moya festival in Ballybunion. They were all delighted to get their certifications.
Furthermore it was a very informative day and great for getting to know what else is out there and who you can try and work with. Most of all working with other businesses it very important and attending these workshops is very beneficial for meeting possible future collaborations! We found it very worthwhile and we hope to get all of our office team members and guiding staff certified. Who knows the Wild Atlantic Way better than the people trekking it up and down!
